Fort St. John Christmas Markets 2026: Your Shopping Calendar

You don’t have to wait until December to get into the Christmas spirit. Fort St. John’s holiday markets start in November, with craft sales, evening shopping and plenty of handmade gift ideas.

Here are five markets in Fort St. John and nearby Cecil Lake to put on your calendar, whether you’re shopping for someone else or just fancy a browse.

The first starts November 13, and the last takes us into December.

November 13–14: Peace Country Craftman’s Association Christmas Sale

The Peace Country Craftman’s Association Christmas Sale is scheduled at the FSJ Senior’s Hall on Friday, November 13, from noon to 8 p.m., and Saturday, November 14, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday’s later hours leave room for a browse after work, while Saturday gives you a longer shopping window.

Admission and individual vendor details are not provided in the listing, so check with the organizer if those affect your plans.

November 18 and 25: Country Christmas Market, Cecil Lake

For a midweek outing beyond the city, the Country Christmas Market is listed at Cecil Lake Community Hall on two Wednesdays: November 18 and November 25.

Both sessions run from 4 to 7 p.m., offering an evening alternative to the weekend markets.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are listed to appear from 6 to 7 p.m., with Santa photos priced at $5.

The $5 is for the photo; the listing doesn’t say whether there’s a separate market entry fee.

If a Santa visit is the main reason for your trip, confirm the appearance details directly before travelling.

November 20–21: Farmers’ Market Christmas Market

The Fort St. John Farmers’ Market Christmas Market moves holiday shopping to the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre on Friday, November 20, from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Make a note of the venue too: this one is at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre.

Admission and the vendor lineup haven’t been specified in the listing, so check with the organizer if you’d like those details before going.

Pick Friday evening or Saturday afternoon, and bring someone along to help with the gift hunting.

November 27–28: Northern Artisan Makers Market Christmas Edition

The Northern Artisan Makers Market Christmas Edition follows at the Pomeroy Hotel and Conference Centre on Friday, November 27, from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, November 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The event description includes jewellery, pottery, woodworking, seasonal décor, artisan food and baked goods, with makers and small businesses from across the Peace Region.

Admission is $3, with children aged 10 and under admitted free.

Door prizes are also advertised, although individual vendors and stock may vary.

Same venue, different market: this follows the Farmers’ Market Christmas Market by a week.

December 5: Winter Market at the Arts Post

The Winter Market at the Arts Post is scheduled for Saturday, December 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The FSJ Community Arts Council, North Peace Spinners & Weavers and North Peace Potters Guild are named in the listing, which highlights handmade pottery, weaving, fibre arts and gently used Christmas décor.

Admission is not specified in the event notice.

Plan your market stops

Details were checked against the City of Fort St. John’s event listings on October 31, 2026; use the source links to confirm arrangements before leaving.

Bring a reusable bag for your finds, and check payment options with sellers rather than counting on every booth taking cards.

Start with a date that suits you, invite a friend and leave a little time to browse. There may be other holiday sales around the North Peace to add to your plans, too.
