Fort St. John’s Halloween weekend brings museum trick-or-treating, haunted walks, pumpkin carving and live music on October 30 and 31.

Halloween at the Museum runs Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North Peace Museum, 9323 100th Street. The free drop-in event includes candy, Halloween history and take-home crafts. Children can wear costumes and should bring a trick-or-treat bag.

The Co-Op Haunted Halloween Walk runs both days at Fish Creek Community Forest. Children’s sessions are 2 to 5 p.m.; adult sessions are 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is by donation for Stage North and North Peace Search and Rescue. Bring cash, warm layers and sturdy footwear.

On Saturday, the Friendship Society’s planned Haunted House has changed to a Pumpkin Carving Contest, noon to 4 p.m. at the Friendship Center. Confirm admission and whether pumpkins or tools are supplied before attending.

The Legion’s Saturday Halloween dance features The Sweetwater Band. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., with dancing listed from 9:30 p.m. until 1 a.m. Admission is $25 per person, with costume prizes.

Check the individual event listings before leaving, particularly ticket arrangements, entry restrictions and any schedule changes. The museum is Friday only, while pumpkin carving and the Legion dance are Saturday.
